UMA empowers employees to take control of their learning with Go1

The Challenge
UMA needed a learning and compliance platform that could support a complex workforce while making training easier to manage and easier for employees to access. Previous learning systems were clunky, expensive, and offered limited content, creating friction for both the L&D team and learners.
UMA also needed to support role-based learning, state-specific compliance, department-level training, career architecture, and self-directed professional development. The team wanted a solution that could meet required training needs while helping employees find meaningful learning on their own.
The Solution
UMA initially selected Go1 as a content provider during an LMS migration, but the platform quickly became more central to its learning strategy. When plans to move to another LMS changed, UMA continued using Go1 Learn and found that it met their core needs: delivering required training, supporting employee development, and giving learners a more intuitive way to explore content on their own.
With Go1, UMA gained access to a broad content library and a user-friendly admin and learner experience. The L&D team uses Go1 to support compliance training, internal courses, new hire enablement, skill-family learning, and career development resources.
The Impact
With Go1, UMA has been able to move beyond a learning experience centered mainly on assigned compliance training and give employees more ownership over their development. Team members can now explore relevant courses, discover recognized providers, access no-cost certification prep, and find learning that supports their career goals.
The biggest shift has been engagement: employees are using the system in a way they were not before. That increased adoption has helped UMA build momentum around leadership development, and internal mobility.
As UMA continues to refine its learning ecosystem, Go1 gives the team a practical foundation to deliver training, support compliance, and make learning easier for employees to access.
“One of the biggest benefits has been users being in control of their own learning and feeling comfortable taking control of their own career trajectory.”
