Training requirements for the EU AI Act
Ensure your team is equipped with the knowledge and skills required to comply with the EU AI Act's training mandates.

What you need to know, now
If your company operates AI systems in the European Union, your employees must be AI-literate. Starting February 2, 2025, the EU AI Act requires employees to have the technical knowledge, education, and training needed to understand the systems they work with, their context, and their impact on individuals and groups.
The first law of its kind, the EU is taking a stance on AI literacy

Who's affected?
The EU AI Act has been in effect since August 1, 2024. Individual chapters are introduced on a phased enforcement schedule. The Act applies to providers and deployers of AI systems and those with AI services in the EU.

What's required?
The EU AI Act is focused on safe use of AI, respect for human rights, and a safeguard for health, safety, and the environment. On February 2, 2025, Article 4 of Chapter 1 on AI literacy comes into effect, requiring companies using AI in their products to train their employees on safe and ethical AI usage.
