Course Description

The National Employment Standards (NES) are 10 minimum employment entitlements that have to be provided to all employees in the National System.

The NES entitlements include access to paid and unpaid leave entitlements.

Awards & Agreements may provide additional forms of leave.

• Understand the NES entitlement to annual leave;
   
• Understand the NES entitlement to personal & carer's leave;
   
• Understand the NES entitlements to compassionate leave;
   
• Understand the NES entitlement to community service leave;
   
• Understand the NES entitlement to unpaid Family and Domestic Violence leave.
