Guideline: Content has a consistent Go1 Experience

Content available through Go1 should all have the same consistent experience for learners. This ensures that there is a predictable and seamless experience for all our learners, whenever and where ever they consume the Go1 content hub.

The key content behaviours that your content should follow include the following:

  • Seamless access to the content
To ensure a seamless experience, it is imperative that your content does not require any additional logins or authorisation steps, that will require a learner to enter before they can successfully access the content material.
  • A simple, locked down navigation experience
It is a Go1 principle that content has an intuitive navigation experience for learners, that does not extend beyond the course material. It is not suitable to allow learners to navigate outside of a course into additional material such as alternative courses and other content partner material.
  • No Personal or sensitive material-gathering
It is not suitable to request sensitive or personal data from Go1 learners. This includes any request for learner first and surnames, as well as any contact information including email addresses and phone numbers.

Seamless access to the content

Example of content that meets this requirement

1. The learner selects the ‘Start' button on the Go1 player

null

2. The learner is directed straight into the content material with no registration or login walls

null

Example of content that does not meet this requirement

1. The learner selects the ‘Start' button on the Go1 player

null

2. The learner is directed to login or register into a third party platform/site in order to access the course material

null

A simple, locked down navigation experience

Example of content that meets this requirement

null

The above example shows an acceptable navigation experience. The navigation options allows a learner to navigate within the course material but does not extend past this. There is no available option for the learners to get lost within the course or exit the Go1 environment.

Example of content that does not meet the requirement

null

The above example shows a content item that is not locked down in navigation. In this example, a learner can easily select the many links to access other provider items and material, navigating away from the directed course. All navigational items should be directly related to the specific course material that was originally accessed via Go1.

No personal or sensitive information gathering

Example of content that does not meet the requirement

null

The above example shows a content item that requests personal information and data from a learner and therefore does not meet the requirements. It is not suitable to request personal information from a learner and is a breach of the Go1 content principles.
