In the introductory video case study, Carol, the team leader, steps in to mediate a conflict between Sanjay and Casey, who has brought a pet to work. Sanjay’s aggressive approach clashes with Casey’s non-assertive response. Carol helps them find a middle ground while also addressing Sanjay’s ongoing disputes with Mana. After reflecting on his intimidating behavior, Sanjay makes amends with Casey, offering a stuffed ‘pet’ during Marcus' team-building session.
