Course Overview

In this course, you'll learn how important nutrition is for people with disabilities and how it affects their health. We'll also look at the potential nutrition problems they might face and teach you how to recognise and deal with these issues effectively. You'll discover ways to help individuals with disabilities develop and keep healthy eating habits, which can improve their overall well-being. Plus, we'll provide a clear understanding of what dietitians do and how they can assist people with disabilities.

This online course is designed for disability support practitioners and health professionals in disability to develop knowledge about nutrition risks faced by people with disability and when to refer to or seek advice from a dietitian or other professionals.
