Working in children's services: Child protection - Abuse and neglect
This course provides educators with the definitions and indicators of abuse and neglect in young children. It examines the factors that can contribute to abuse and neglect and the consequences for children. It begins to examine the educator's role if they suspect a child is at risk of abuse and/or neglect.
This course is suitable for new and trainee educators as well as students who would like to become early childhood educators and want a better understanding of what the role entails. The course is also suitable for educators seeking professional development or for early childhood services wanting to provide holistic professional development for staff members.
