Course Summary

This course is  for anyone who needs to know about Workplace Bullying and Harassment - from individual Australian employees and managers, to business owners, IR consultants, and HR specialists.

Completion of the course's six Modules will strengthen a learner's ability to recognise and respond to unacceptable conduct in the workplace, based on a knowledge of good management practice, law, and community standards.

How does it Work?

We know that most people learn best by engaging with authentic stories that reflect their experience, and relate to their actual situation.

Building on two decades of experience, Ethicos  uses short animated stories which are highly realistic.

As the saying goes: 'a picture is worth a thousand words - and is easier to remember'.

The 'Ethicos Guidance' material cuts through the complexities of laws and interpretation by courts and tribunals, to focus on the key ideas and principles involved.

The course also provides links to external sources of professional advice and assistance, to enable users to get expert help directly if needed.

In summary - we aim to help individuals to stay out of trouble, and employers to stay out of Court.

Course Content

This 'Workplace Bullying and Harassment Prevention' course consists of six Modules, which can be taken at different times. Each Module will take about 30 minutes to complete the five 'Incidents' which focus on different aspects of workplace bullying and sexual harassment.

At the end of each 'Incident' there is a Quiz: the learner is asked to respond to two multiple-choice questions. Learners may review their answers, and repeat the Module as desired.

An explanation of each Incident and the answers to the Quiz is provided to learners as 'Ethicos Guidance'.

There are also links to further examples of unacceptable behaviour and ‘reasonable management action’,  as well as legal definitions, commentaries, and further information.

There are also links to additional resources for use in Training, Policy Development, and Integrity Assurance on the Ethicos website: www.ethicos.net
