Course description

Hyper V is a hardware virtualization platform built in to Windows Server 2012. Hyper V lets you run multiple operating systems at the same time on one physical computer. Each of these operating systems runs in its own virtual computer called a virtual machine that operates independently and has its own assigned processor, disk, memory, and network resources. Two key aspects of securing servers in your organization are to control the local firewall settings on those individual servers and provide security to the traffic that move to and from those servers with authentication and data protection. Windows Server 2012 includes a tool called Windows Firewall with Advanced Security that lets you configure both of these security features.

Each LearnNowOnline training course is made up of Modules (typically an hour in length). Within each module there are Topics (typically 15-30 minutes each) and Subtopics (typically 2-5 minutes each). There is a Post Exam for each Module that must be passed with a score of 70% or higher to successfully and fully complete the course.

Prerequisites

The course assumes that students have some familiarity with Microsoft Windows, basic networking concepts, and a fundamental understanding of computer hardware.
