Teaching the basics, the foundations of maths.

Course Overview

Most of the children I see for assessment for dyscalculia have missed out on learning and understanding the foundations of maths, such as place value, basic facts, a sense of number and an understanding of how the four operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) interlink.

This session will look at how those concepts can be taught with support from visual images and manipulatives.
