Course Overview

Steam turbines find applications in most of the rotating equipment in industrial settings, such as power generators in the power plant compressors, expanders, blowers, fans, pumps, etc. They are the prime movers driving the generators at both thermal and nuclear power plants as well as large ships. This module covers attempts to describe the necessity, working, and applications of steam turbines by discussing the various parts used to set them up.
