Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults (SCOT) Module

Study in detail about the Scottish legislations and principles behind safeguarding vulnerable adults.

Abuse and neglect can cause long-lasting damage to a person’s physical and emotional wellbeing, which is why it’s everyone’s responsibility to protect vulnerable adults from the risk of harm. By the end of this course, you’ll have a better understanding of the principles behind safeguarding and the impact of Scottish legislation. You will also learn how to recognise the signs of abuse, how to respond to and record a disclosure of harm, and how to report your concerns to the relevant authorities.

In addition to a high quality video, this Module features expanded learning content blocks and a short quiz to check your understanding.
