This 1.5 hour interactive course is based on current research and provides an overview of the techniques used to precent complications in patients including the post surgical patient.

Participants will understand the common respiratory physiotherapy techniques including the procedure for conducting manual and ventilator hyperinflation in intubated and mechanically ventilated patients. The course teaches the current role of incentive spirometry for the prevention of respiratory complications in the post-operative patient population.
