This 2.5 hour interactive course will provide background knowledge on perinatal mental health conditions. It reviews therapeutic techniques that can be used by nurses and midwives to support individuals with mental illness in the perinatal period.

Participants will about common mental health conditions that may affect women and men in the perinatal period. It will teach how to conduct a routine psychosocial assessment and the pathways for accessing support and treatment.
