Iron Deficiency - Anaemia in Children - Diagnosis, Management and Prevention

Course Overview

This 2 hour interactive course is about IDA in children a condition that affects an estimated of 8% of Australian preschool children and over 50% of Indigenous preschool children in some communities.

Participants will learn about why it is important to properly manage IDA how to recognise symptoms investigate causes and appropriately manage it. Participants will learn to use strategies to prevent IDA and the long term implications for children who develop IDA.
