This lesson is the fourth of five in the ‘HIPAA: Advanced – Breach Notification Rule’ video course, which is meant to explain how to recognize, assess, and report breaches of protected health information. When analyzing risk factors, you’re trying to determine whether there was a greater than low risk that PHI was compromised. For example, by figuring out whether the PHI was actually acquired or viewed, you can decide the level of risk to PHI.
