High-frequency trading is a form of automated trading that uses algorithms for decision making, order initiation, generation, routing or execution, for each individual transaction without human direction. The types of firms that participate in high frequency trades are explored, we examine the development of high frequency trades and their effects on the market, both positive and negative.
