Welcome to our seven-part video course on "Ethics For Managers"! If there’s one thing just about everyone in the working world can agree with, it’s that people need to be ethical. Every large company has a code of conduct that people have to read and sign every year. Business schools are required to include a section on ethics training, and companies supplement that with their own ethics programs. Yet the problem doesn’t appear to be getting better. But do you know what’s the most effective driver of ethical behavior? It’s the culture of the organization. And what’s one of the primary drivers of culture for your team? Yes, it is the supervisor. This course discusses how you should set up and encourage an ethical workplace and how to follow up with any ethics concerns you see, or hear about from your team. Additional learning objectives include learning what doesn't work with ethics; creating an environment that requires ethics; common elements of establishing organizational ethics; professional ethical standards; personal ethical standards; and how to handle ethical situations. This program is valid for one PDC for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and one hour of recertification credit through the HR Certification Institute.
