Outcome:

Participants will learn about the virus causing COVID-19 and its routes of transmission. The course provides the current case definitions and guidelines for the triage of patients in the community. It discusses the precautions required in clinics and for home visits and provides an overview of the initiatives being taken to support the delivery of primary and community healthcare at this time.

It also provides the current guidelines for the use of PPE and provides a refresher on the correct donning and doffing of PPE and how to do a fit check for a P2 respirator mask.

It provides a refresher on standard and transmission based precautions and the current guidance for the use of PPE during this pandemic, including fit checking P2 respirator masks.

This course provides critical learning on COVID-19 and a refresher on standard and transmission based precautions. It is targeted specifically at nurses working in primary healthcare.
