Covered Warrants

When a financial institution issues a warrant on the shares (or other underlying products) of a publicly quoted company it is known as a covered warrant. We give an overview of covered warrants and the development of the covered warrants market. We then outline the basic structure of a covered warrant and look at how it differs from a traditional warrant. To conclude we look at some of the exotic variants of covered warrants, and some non-equity warrants.
