Course Description

Bullying is a universal issue that can affect anyone, from families, to schools and communities. Cyberbullying in particular is on the rise, and it's impact can be severely damaging and far-reaching.

This course explores the negative effects of bullying in any form, and teaches positive strategies and solutions for those working with young people who experience bullying.

In this course you will learn:

  • The definition of bullying and cyberbullying
  • The different types of bullying
  • How to recognise the signs a person is being bullied, or bullying
  • The technology and methods used by cyberbullies
  • What to do if you suspect a child is being bullied or cyberbullied

Who is this course for?

This course is intended for all children’s workforce practitioners, i.e. all staff who work with children, young people and their families.

Although this course forms part of an induction programme for new starters, it is also intended for all practitioners who want to improve their knowledge and continue their professional development.
