This six-part series of video lessons will help mentors and mentees be active participants in the mentoring process and understand what drives a good partnership, as well as make the time spent together as productive as possible. "The Role of the Mentor" is the third of six video lessons in this series on being a great mentor or mentee. As you may have surmised, this lesson focuses on the mentor's part in a mentoring relationship. The lesson will lay out the mentor's responsibilities toward the mentee, the benefits that accrue for the mentor themselves, and what traits make an effective mentor.
