When Great Minds Don't Think Alike: Teaching Students With Learning Difficulties
GO1 Demo
In association with ReMinds, this introductory program is provided for teachers and education support personnel wishing to assist children with such learning difficulties as: Dyslexia Neurodevelopmental Delay Visual issues ADHD Sensory Integration issues Auditory Processing Disorder Language disorders Autism/Aspergers            and other related difficulties. Given that learning difficulties may not be an exact science, and that no two individuals' needs will be identical, this program provides valuable knowledge, improved awareness, deeper understandings and guidance to assist teachers and education support personnel in making informed decisions about identifying and responding to learning difficulties, whether as the regular teacher and ES (Integration Aide), or as a replacement or relief teacher, or replacement ES. Participants also receive numerous tips and techniques on how to enhance andimprove learning. As an encouragement, generous Early Bird rates apply if you register for this program well in advance. Refer to the Fees Page for details.   PRESENTER: Nadine Shome, Director of ReMinds, has been working in the training sector for more than 15 years in both Australia and South East Asia, and as the mother of a child with learning difficulties has first hand experience dealing with the many challenges faced by teachers and parents of children with learning difficulties.  Nadine understands the enormity of the task and the overwhelming feeling and lack of direction teachers and parents can often experience,  and concludes that dealing with learning difficulties presents more as a skilful process than a simple “one problem, one solution” scenario, hence the consequential development of theReMinds framework.
