Chief Executive Officer and Co-FounderAndrew Barnes
Andrew co-founded Go1 in 2015. He has a passion for education and a belief that technology can help create new opportunities for learning. Andrew is a Rhodes Scholar, and completed an MSc in Education at Oxford University before going on to complete his PhD at the University of Queensland. As CEO he sets strategy and direction for the company, and enjoys working closely with customers and partners to help organizations and individuals unlock new opportunities through learning.
Chief Revenue Officer and Co-FounderChris Eigeland
Chris co-founded Go1 and is our CRO. Chris is responsible for global revenue attainment, including sales function management, and maintaining relationships with our partners and affiliates. Chris obtained a degree in Law and International Relations from Griffith University, and has worked extensively in international relations and law, representing Australia at the United Nations General Assembly in 2016, as a National Commissioner for UNESCO, and working in constitutional law in the UK and South Africa.
Chief Technology Officer and Co-FounderChris Hood
As part of the founding team, Chris has been responsible for the technology strategy and decisions at Go1. As CTO his focus is on building a platform that exceeds customer’s demands for performance, scalability, and security. Chris has engineering degrees in electronics and computer science and has worked across a range of technology domains including writing software for medical and mining hardware to working on enterprise software integrations.
Chief Operating OfficerDale Solomon
Dale joined Go1 in 2020 with a focus on the business operations required to support our exponential growth. Dale has extensive experience in this, and the industry, having worked at Learning Technologies Group (LSE:LTG) for 10 years as COO and Board Director. Dale was instrumental in the growth of LTG, having run shared services functions, managed acquisition integrations, and led individual Group companies, LEO learning and NetDimensions / PeopleFluent, as Managing Director.
VP Corporate DevelopmentElizabeth McMillan
Liz is charged with accelerating Go1’s growth through strategic investments. Prior to Go1, Liz was the CEO of Dictionary.com where she orchestrated a turnaround that culminated in the sale of the company with >2x increase in value. Liz is always on the lookout for the 1+1=3 scenario. As the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at IAC Publishing, she played a key role in several large acquisitions and integrations resulting in exponential valuation growth.
General CounselKatie Black
Katie joined Go1 in 2020 as General Counsel. She is responsible for the work at Go1 on legal, regulatory and compliance at Go1, with a focus on issues relating to technology, privacy and data. Prior to joining Go1 Katie worked as a mergers and acquisitions specialist at a large international law firm, was a commercial partner at a boutique Sydney firm and across various large publicly listed companies in in-house capacities.
VP ProductLayla Foord
Layla is responsible for Product and UX at Go1. Previously as Global Head of Product at Seek she led product development, engineering, UX and data science with teams in three continents working on 10 products for the wider Seek group. As General Manager at Envato she launched a freelance platform and with Nielsen as Product Development Director, Layla designed and developed the first web based advertising analytics platform for the group.
Chief Information OfficerThomas Wythe
Thomas joined Go1 in 2017 to help grow and mature the engineering, technology and implementation capabilities. Today, Go1 has a multi-discipline, autonomous engineering team across multiple geographies. Thomas is high energy and loves solving business problems as well as technical ones. Thomas was previous International IT director at Betfair (taking UK based products into new markets) and COO at Temando (another Brisbane based startup).
Chief Evangelist and Co-FounderVu Tran
As a co-founder and chief evangelist of Go1, Vu’s responsibilities include engaging with key industry leaders and stakeholders across all sectors to share Go1’s experience in transforming workplace learning. This includes engagement with government sectors on working to leverage Go1’s experience, technology and course marketplace to address key social issues such as skills, employment and supporting industry and small business.
