Play content using SSO
Description

If a partner only ingests content metadata (and not content binaries or files) then a convenient method to enable users to play content is Single sign on (SSO). When exporting content metadata, a launch address for each learning object should be included. This launch address will attempt to authenticate users. If SSO is configured for the portal (see Single sign on), this will allow users to directly access learning objects from the partner system.

Some configurations are available, such as a redirect after content completion (see Play content).

When this works
  • If the partner platform is already used as a identity provider in other integrations
When this doesn't work
  • When the partner maintains a SCORM player
  • When the partner is not able to act as an identity provider
Requirements
  • Admin access to customer portal
  • A Partner IDP
