Course Overview

Child protection is an ongoing community effort and each of us have a role to play, whether we’re mandatory reporters, or we have a duty of care, or we just want to do what’s right. It’s up to all of us to build a child-safe work environment and culture and to take the appropriate action when we notice a behaviour raises red flags.

This course uses examples from real-life cases and stories to illustrate the kinds of things learners should look out for and the situations in which they should consider making a report.

Learners will also get an overview of Australia’s complex federal, state and territory child protection regime and the international standards for children’s welfare and rights.

Who is this training for?
